As a rule of thumb to remember: washed out results always happen when somewhere along the capture or decode pipeline there is an element which gets limited range data BUT it interprets it as full range.

The other way around would result in a too dark image (when getting full range data but interpreting it as limited).

Thanks for the info. There does seem to be some incorrect interpretation of color range when capturing from the Xbox One; even using Elgato's own software results in a washed out image.

This might be worth checking out: https://www.reddit.com/r/xboxone/comments/6yslm3/xbox_one_standardpc_rgb_settings_information/

Also, doing a google search for 'xbox one limited full range rgb' will have plenty of results, so you're not alone 🙂
