I use MagicYuv as an intermediate codec in my workflow.
The first step is to join Jpeg images to create the video file
I use ffmpeg with -codec magicyuv
It works well, I get a 8bits yuv 420 file but I notice that its size is twice as large as the MJPEG file obtained by simply joining the images with ffmpeg -codec copy
The MJPEG file has the size of the sum of the JPEG images
MediaInfo gives me actually about twice as many bits / image in the yuv file as in the MJPEG file
Why in this case the size of the YUV file is larger than the original information?
It's certainly not a problem with MAgicYuv but I have to miss something!

Sorry when reading my post again the answer is obvious!
This is of course because the Jpeg is decompressed.
Shame on me, can the administrator delete this post!
