[Solved] MagicYUV INIT Error in Dxtory?

I'm wondering if anyone has a solution to this error. I used to use dxtory often and always did so with the old MagicYUV codec. Today I decided to start recording again so I downloaded dxtory and purchased the modern MagicYUV. However the only codec I can get to work on dxtory without showing the INIT error is the default one and the lagorith lossless, both of which are inferior to MagicYUV. I'm hoping someone has a solution to this as!

To update anyone else reading this with a similar issue, I was originally using the 64 bit and 32 bit 10 - 4:2:2 codec... after reading some recommended settings in other Q&A posts I swapped to the YUV 4:2:0 and it is working as intended. Hoping this helps anyone in my position later!

You mean the "10-bit YUV 4:2:2"? That doesn't work with dxtory, it is intended for very special use cases as of now. Use the non-10/12/14 (ie. only the regular) codec variants for recording. And as you already found out, 4:2:0 is the most ideal for game recording.
